Folio is a Sudoku game. It is built to know as little about you as possible.
Your games, streaks, awards and settings are stored on your iPhone. Party play nearby talks directly to the other phones (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, like AirDrop) and never goes through our servers.
If you play as a guest or sign in with Apple, we store an account id, the name you chose, and the move records of solo games you finish, so we can check scores for leaderboards. With Sign in with Apple we receive Apple's anonymous user id, never your password. If you sign in with your email or Google, we also keep that email address (and Google's id for your account) so you can sign in again, and a copy of your games and progress so they follow you to other devices. Sign-in emails are sent through Resend; Google only tells us who you are, never your password or contacts. Feedback you send from the app is stored with the app version, iOS version and your level.
Friends are added only by a link you choose to share; we never read your contacts. Friends see your name and your points this week. Your weekly league (up to 30 players) shows names and points. Online tables relay game moves between the players at the table and keep nothing once the table closes.
No advertising, no tracking across apps, no selling data, no location, no contacts.
On iPhone, Folio Press is sold and managed by Apple. On the web it is sold through Stripe, which handles the payment page and your card; we only receive your subscription's status, plan and renewal date, linked to your Folio account, never your card details. Deleting your online data ends the subscription.
Deleting the app removes everything on your iPhone. Settings ▸ Delete my online data deletes your account, games, points, league seat and friendships from our server at once.
